Activities

We have Scheduled some exciting school programs for our students before and during Catholic Schools Week.

The following is a list of programs:

Sunday, January 31st, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Parish
- Opening Liturgy – Celebration of Mass at 11:15 a.m. (Students are to dress in full uniform and sit with their families).
- Open House and New Registrations – The school will be open following mass from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
- Powerpoint Presentation of our Saint Michael School family - School hall
- Picture diplays and student/teacher/staff activity entitled - “Joined Together as One Family Connection” (School hall)
- Refreshments served - School hall
* Outreach Service - Collection cans (in each classroom) from the Red Cross for money donations on behalf of the people of Haiti
* On January 29th, Grades 4-8 participated in an anti-bullying program, "The Power of One"

Monday, February 1st, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Community
Open House and New Registration will run from Monday, February 1st through Friday, February 5th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day.
- Career Day
- The Community Giving Tree - (Grades 5-8)
Collection of soap, shampoo, body wash, powder, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, socks and hair items for teen girls in foster homes and transitional living situations.
- Ronald McDonald House - (Grades PreK-4)
Collection of brand new items - PreK - coloring books, Kdg. - crayons, Gr. 1 - markers, Gr. 2 - books, Gr. 3 - puzzles, Gr. 4 - small toys.

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Students
- All students wear gym uniforms.
- Historical Perspectives present the Life of Helen Keller - Grades PreK through Grade 8.
- Game Day
- Book Swap
- Crazy Sock Day
- Ice Cream Sundae Treat – All students.
- Snow Tubing – Students in Grades 5 – 8 will go snow tubing at Nashoba Valley Ski Area from 2:45 – 6:00 p.m.
- Movie Time – Students in Grades 1 – 4 will go to Chunky’s Cinema to see “The Tooth Fairy” from 2:15 – 5:00 p.m.
- Essay Contest – Grades 6-8 - "The Importance of a Catholic School Education." One winner from each grade level chosen will be published in our church bulletin.

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Nation
- Letters/cards for our military men and women
- Bake Sale - all proceeds sent to the people of Haiti
- Teachers Appreciation luncheon

Thursday, February 4th, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Vocations
- Religious talks by Fr. Thomas Rossi to our students in PreK through Grade 8.
- Curious Creatures animal presentations - Grade PreK - 3.
- Video Presentation - "Fishers of Men"
- Open House and new registrations will take place from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Friday, February 5th, 2010 - Dividends for Life: In Our Faculty, Staff and Volunteers
- Teacher Appreciation Day
- "Big Buddies Day - Grades PreK & 5, Kdg. & 4, 1 & 6, 2 & 7, 3 & 8. Older vs. younger students interacting with planned activities
- Father/Daughter Dance - Grades PreK - 8 to the theme of "On the Red Carpet."

Saturday, February 6th, 2010
- Saint Michael School night with the Lowell devils at the Tsongas Arena at 7:00 p.m.
